Media Advisory: City launching its 2002 United Way campaign
  
The City of Toronto's 2002 Employee United Way campaign will be launched at an
event on Nathan Phillips Square.

Date: Monday, September 9

Time: Noon to 2 p.m.

Place: Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall

Anticipated guests include Councillor Jane Pitfield, representing the Mayor and
City Council; Chief Administrative Officer Shirley Hoy; Paula M. Dill, City
Commissioner and Patron of the City's 2002 campaign; Susan McIsaac,
Vice-President of Fundraising, United Way of Greater Toronto; and a group of
accomplished athletes from Toronto.

Highlights will include the announcement of the City's fundraising goal for
2002, cheque presentations, entertainment, a team sports challenge among City
departments, a barbecue and displays by United Way agencies.
