Toronto is the ultimate WinterCity
  
Toronto Special Events - The WinterCity Passport offers Torontonians
another reason to celebrate the coolest season of the year. The Passport gives
the holder a variety of discounted admissions at the city's hottest
attractions. It also acts as the public's guide to Winterlicious, Toronto's
first annual restaurant week. Winterlicious and the WinterCity Passport are
active February 7 - 13, 2003. Both programs run in conjunction with Toronto
Winterfest.

The WinterCity Passport's participating attractions and offers are:

Art Gallery of Ontario, 2 for 1 general adult admission, valid February 7 to
May 30

Bata Shoe Museum, 2 for 1 admission, valid February 7 - 13
Casa Loma, $2 off 1 adult admission or $1 off 1 youth/child/senior admission,
valid February 7 - 28

CN Tower, $5 off Total Tower Experience, valid February 7 - December 30

Colborne Lodge, 25% off admission at a maximum of 2 adults, valid February 7 -
23

Gibson House, 25% off admission at a maximum of 2 adults, valid February 7 - 23

Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art: The Artful Teapot, 25% off admission, valid
February 7 - 13

Harbourfront Centre, Doug Varone Dance Co., 2 for 1 tickets, valid February 11
- 13

Historic Fort York, 25% off admission at a maximum of 2 adults, valid February
7 - 23

Mackenzie House, 25% off admission at a maximum of 2 adults, valid February 7 -
23

Montgomery's Inn, 25% off admission at a maximum of 2 adults, valid February 7
- 23

NFB Mediatheque, 2 for 1 admission at personal viewing stations, valid February

Ontario Science Centre, 1 free child/youth admission with purchase of 1 regular

The WinterCity Passport is available at hotels, city restaurants participanting
in Winterlicious, ACCESS Toronto locations including Toronto City Hall and the
City of Toronto website at

Winterlicious, Toronto's first annual restaurant week, is also growing. In
addition to the previously released participants, Toronto restaurant week will
also include:

Bouchon (38 Wellington Street East) - Lunch ($20.03) and dinner ($30.03)

Boulevard Café (161 Harbord Avenue) - Lunch ($10.03) and dinner ($20.03)

Corner House (501 Davenport Avenue) - Dinner only ($30.03), available February
11 & 12 only

JW's Steakhouse (Toronto Marriott Eaton Centre, 525 Bay Street) -
Lunch ($10.03) and dinner ($20.03)

Sintra (588 College Street) - Dinner only ($20.03)

Steakfrites (692 Mount Pleasant Road) - Brunch ($10.03) on Sunday, February 9
only and dinner ($20.03)

Both Winterlicious and WinterCity run in conjunction with Toronto Winterfest
presented by Shoppers Drug Mart. Toronto's largest winter festival urges
audiences to celebrate, not hibernate. The event redefines the conventional
ideas of winter, bringing vibrant, topsy-turvy spectacle and colourful
celebration to two city squares - Nathan Phillips Square and Mel Lastman Square.

Running from February 7 - 9, 2003, Winterfest features physical theatre,
celebrity food demonstrations, film, live music, and other great attractions
including an unforgettable opening ceremonies with a fabulous ice skating show,
and a big outdoor Saturday night concert at Nathan Phillips Square. The
festival is free so it is easy for everyone to beat the cold this winter.
