Toronto's world-class shopping centre Warms Up
Toronto Special Events - WinterCity revellers can head indoors and de-frost at
Toronto's world-class shopping centre, the Toronto Eaton Centre, known for its
beautiful architecture and urban atmosphere. The Warm Up Series sponsored by
the Toronto Eaton Centre allows audiences to experience rare performances by
Las Vegas' Inversion. Culinary demonstrations by famous celebrity chefs Ken
Kostick, Table for Two host Joanne Meral and Savoir Faire's Nik Manojlovich.
The Warm Up Series is free and takes place daily from Saturday, January 31 -
Sunday, February 8.

The glitz of Las Vegas arrives in Toronto with high-flying acrobatic feats and
gravity defying artistry from Nevada performers Inversion. Turning conventional
ideas of entertainment upside down, this group dishes up cutting edge
choreography and daring new performances that take cirque to a new level.
Audiences are treated to the extreme athletic prowess of four men climbing up
and down poles while one acrobatic silk artist adds beauty to the performance.
Inversion appear twice daily at the Toronto Eaton Centre from Tuesday, February
3 to Sunday, February 8. These free shows take place Tuesday through Friday at
2 and 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 5 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 5 p.m.

Canada's favourite food celebrity, Ken Kostick, brings a sense of humour to the
kitchen with his spicy banter and no-nonsense approach to cooking. This wildly
popular cooking show host and author of best-selling cookbooks appears at the
Toronto Eaton Centre where he will whip up delicious soups for WinterCity. Ken
Kostick's free cooking demonstrations take place at the Toronto Eaton Centre on
Sunday, February 1 at 2 and 4 p.m.

As host of the hit show Savoir Faire, Nik Manojlovich is one of Canada's
foremost party planners and inspires viewers to celebrate life's special
occassions with extravagant entertaining and gracious hospitality. For
WinterCity, Manojlovich shares mouth-watering recipes for chocolate covered
strawberries with a twist and creative table-top presentations - perfect ideas
for a romantic winter's eve. Nik Manojlovich's free cooking demonstrations take
place at the Toronto Eaton Centre on Monday, February 2 at 2 and 4 p.m.

After five successful years on air, Table for Two has been a pioneer among food
shows. The unique format - a combination of famous chefs and celebrity guests
with a charming host to pull it all together - has won this Canadian show
international accolades. Host Joanne Meral takes her show on the road for
WinterCity to referee a cook-off between two Liberty Grand chefs. Lucky
audience members will be chosen to take a seat at the table to taste the
creations and play judge. The Table for Two cook-off, with host Joanne Meral
and chefs Richard Andino (Rosewater Supper Club) and Jeffrey Brothers (Court
House), is free and takes place at the Toronto Eaton Centre on Saturday,
January 31 at 2 and 4 p.m.

Those looking to hone their culinary skills can add these great Toronto Eaton
Centre cooking demonstrations to their schedules. An Urban Guy Cooks Dinner for
His Sweetheart allows the audience to pick up some easy cooking tricks from
City Grill chef Jonathan Abrahams that will impress the better half on
Valentine's Day (Saturday, January 31, 3 and 5 p.m.). A flock of sheep isn't
needed to enjoy the ultimate winter comfort food. Shepherd's Pie 101 will teach
the audience how to make this classic pub dish with Duke of Richmond chef
Jonathan Abrahams (Sunday, February 1, 3 and 5 p.m.). Audiences can wow loved
ones after a simple lesson on how to make an Espresso White Chocolate Crème
Brûlée at Racy and Crispy Chocolate Hearts. Gurth Pretty, Williams-Sonoma's
District Chef, will show how easy it is to make this delicious dessert
(Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1, 12:30 p.m.).

Dare to forget the weather at the party hosted by the world's coolest winter
city. Toronto's newest winter festival, WinterCity, built on the foundation of
the long-running WinterFest, creates a new tradition of winter revellry.
Running from January 30 - February 12, 2004, this 14-day celebration gives
center stage to the city's renowned culture, creativity and cuisine. With
