Second Toronto City Summit planned for June 5

A broad assembly of more than 400 leaders from the corporate, community,
labour, public and voluntary sectors will gather at the Metro Toronto
Convention Centre on June 5 to address the urgent issues facing the Toronto
region.

The enthusiasm surrounding last year's event led to the creation of a civic
leadership group called the Toronto City Summit Alliance and an action plan
entitled Enough Talk. The action plan proposes a dozen initiatives to address
the urgent challenges facing the Toronto region.

This year's event will focus on moving critical initiatives forward.

Citizen leaders from every sector and community in the Toronto region will
attend, along with various municipal, provincial and federal leaders who have
been invited to respond to the Toronto City Summit Alliance's action plan.

A copy of the action plan can be downloaded at http://www.torontocitysummit.ca.

Note: An agenda for the day will be issued in the coming weeks.
