Swing Into Spring: Toronto Public Golf Courses open for 2003 season

Parks and Recreation -- Toronto's five public golf courses will open for the
2003 season this week, weather permitting.

Dentonia Golf Course and Tam O'Shanter Golf Course are open today. Humber
Valley Golf Course and Don Valley Golf Course will open on Thursday, April 17.
Scarlett Woods Golf Course will open on Friday, April 18.

All City of Toronto public golf courses are conveniently located and offer
great value for new as well as experienced golfers. All five courses offer
equipment and cart rentals, and instruction by experienced members of the
Canadian Professional Golfers' Association (C.P.G.A.)

As a thank you to loyal golfers and to introduce the City's great golf courses
to new golfers, a special promotion will be held at Dentonia and Scarlett Woods
Golf Courses. From season opening until May 15, 2003, golfers booking tee times
on Mondays through Thursdays, will be able to enjoy two-for-one rounds all day
long.

Tee times at all five courses are reserved up to five days in advance. To check
