Media Advisory: Mayor to hear views of Chinese Business Associations

Mayor Mel Lastman will be meeting the leaders of Greater Toronto's Chinese
business groups to hear their ideas about how governments should respond to
the SARS situation. Senior figures in other levels of government and
neighbouring municipalities are also expected to attend.

Date: April 28, 2003
Time: 9 am - 12 noon
Location: Committee Room 1, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 100 Queen Street West

"This meeting is about listening to the community's needs, and a result of
yesterday's Council meeting, we now have the tools to respond," Mayor Lastman
said.

"I'm eager to hear the community's views. This will be a big step forward on
the road to recovery," he said.
