Annual Flower Show transforms Allan Gardens and Centennial Park Conservatories into a Winter Wonderland
  
Opening day festivities for the annual flower shows at Allan Gardens and
Centennial Park Conservatories will feature Victorian Carollers, outdoor
activities for children, horse and wagon rides, hot apple cider, home-baked
cookies and a much anticipated visit from Father Christmas. The focus will be
on the spectacular seasonal floral display of "A One-Horse Open Sleigh" and the
newest varieties of poinsettias.

Date: Sunday, December 7
Time: noon to 5 p.m.
Official ceremony starts at: noon
Place: Allan Gardens (south side of Carlton Street, between Jarvis and
Sherbourne Streets)

Both shows run from Sunday, December 7, 2003 through until January 4, 2004, and
are open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with special "Conservatory by Candlelight"
viewing December 14 - 23 and 26 - 30, until 7 p.m.

Park Conservatory is located at 151 Elmcrest Rd., north of Rathburn Road and
west of Highway 427.

Admission to both flower shows is free. A donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank
at both locations is encouraged.
