The City of Toronto encourages residents to boost the economy by dining out,
seeing a movie, shopping at the mall. Many special events are also available
this weekend, some of which are listed below.
-- Stars of the 21st Century
The Koffler Centre for the Arts presents its second annual international ballet
fundraising gala, Stars of the 21st Century on Sunday May 4 at the Toronto
Centre for Arts. This is a unique, one-night only opportunity for Toronto to
see the world's best in dance. The evening will feature a program of both
classical and contemporary works by some of the most brilliant performers from

-- Flex your way to FAME Fitness and Model Expo
The only show of its kind in Canada, the Flex your way to FAME Fitness and

The Sprockets Film Festival, dedicated solely to younger viewers, will be

The Good Food Festival and Market takes place at the International Centre on
May 2 and May 3. Renee Unger, creator of Renee's Gourmet, and Norene Gilletz of
Gourmania Inc., host two shows at the Festival, mixing up a dash of their spicy
personalities and a host of other fresh ingredients.

Air Canada is spearheading this initiative with travel partners to encourage
travel to Toronto. Air Canada is offering low airfares from anywhere in Canada
to Toronto. Special incentives and bargains for travellers who come to Toronto
for the Victoria Day weekend will be listed on a new website
(www.canadalovestoronto.ca) starting May 3. It will include links to partner
websites to make booking easier.
