Media Advisory: Toronto Cycling Ambassadors urge protection and sharing of all trails

The City of Toronto's Cycling Ambassadors will host an Off-road Awareness
Safety Information Stop (OASIS) to encourage responsible trail use, as well as
respect for and preservation of the environment and designated multi-use trails.

Date: Saturday, August 16

Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location: Grenadier Café and Tea House, High Park

Additional OASIS events will be held in various locations throughout August.

The Cycling Ambassador program is a City of Toronto and Toronto Cycling
Committee initiative. Through the ambassadors, this program provides safety
information and raises environmental awareness for all road and trail users -
cyclists, pedestrians, motorists and in-line skaters.

The program is sponsored in part by Ontario Power Generation, the lead sponsor,
and the following in-kind sponsors: Bell Sports, CAMEL BAK, Giro helmets,
McBride Cycle, Norco Bikes and OGC Canada.
