Media Advisory: Free fishing event for kids and their families on Toronto Islands
  
People of all ages are invited to Hanlan's Point on the Toronto Islands for a
Free Family Fishing Day as part of National Fishing Week (July 5 to 13). There
will be pre-registration at the Trout Pond for a loan of a rod and reel or
people may bring their own. Free fishing lessons will be available including
how to bait a hook with a worm and how to catch and release a fish.

Toronto Parks and Recreation, the Toronto Sportsmen's Show, Ontario's Ministry
of Natural Resources, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, Ontario
Federation of Anglers and Hunters and the Bait Association of Ontario host this
first time event.


Date: Sunday, July 6

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location: Trout Pond
Hanlan's Point
Toronto Islands
