Photo Opportunity: Mimico Village Business Improvement Association unveils spring-time art event

Economic Development -- The Mimico Village Business Improvement Association
will be holding an unveiling ceremony of five-foot tulips that will provide a
canvas for local schools and youth outreach groups to create masterpieces on
one of four themes: the neighbourhood; local history; spring; and community
spirit.

In an effort to promote community involvement and beautify the neighbourhood,
the Mimico Village Business Improvement Association has purchased tulips from
Merlinworks, the manufacturer of the moose seen around Toronto in the summer of
2000, in partnership with the City of Toronto's Economic Development Office.

Date: Thursday, May 8, 2003

Time: 6 p.m.

Place: Mimico Village, on the south-west corner of
Simpson Avenue and Royal York Road
