City hosts community and school planting events
  
Parks and Recreation -- Get involved with your environment with community
planting events at the Lower Don Trail Greening event, East Don Parklands and
Highland Creek tree- and shrub-planting on Saturday, April 26.

"With 25 weekend events planned throughout the city, residents, community
groups, individuals, and families are all welcome to attend and dig right in,"
said Claire Tucker-Reid, General Manager, Parks and Recreation. "Planting
equipment and materials are provided. Volunteers should dress for the weather.
Wear comfortable clothing, sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, and bring
sunscreen and drinking water".

In addition to the weekend events, there will be 29 fun and educational
hands-on plantings during the week for school groups at various locations
across Toronto.

All events are from 10 a.m. until noon, unless otherwise specified. For a
