Media Advisory: Fourth Annual Doggie Day Festival
  
Toronto dog owners are invited to bring their dog to the Fourth Annual Doggie
Day Festival and join the fun. There will be a Canine Idol Contest, a
Look-a-Like Contest, Best Dressed Dog Contest and a host of other reasons to
bring your pooch to the Doggie Day Festival including: doggie games with great
prizes; dozens of pet professionals to answer questions about diet, grooming,
veterinary care and training; and renowned animal communication specialist,
Claudia Hehr and performing dogs.

Each year hundreds of people also take their chances at the TD Canada Trust
Doggie Olympics hosted by Poop Patrol.

This event benefits the Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre's Dog and Youth
Programs.

Take public transit. Call the Toronto Transit Commission at 416-393-INFO for
information on routes and schedules. If you are driving there is a green "P"
lot at Broadview and Queen Streets.
