Media Advisory: Public invited to Nathan Phillips Square to greet new Mayor, Council
  
The public is invited to Nathan Phillips Square tomorrow evening, December 2,
to greet Mayor David Miller and members of Toronto City Council. The public
party begins at 7 p.m., wrapping up at 9 p.m. The Dave Murphy Band, roaming
buskers, free hot chocolate and skating (weather permitting) mark the evening's
events.

Mayor Miller will address the crowd at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Mayor Miller and the new City Council officially begin their term today. The
first meeting of Toronto City Council takes place tomorrow at 2 p.m. The
Honourable R. Roy McMurtry, Chief Justice of Ontario, will administer the
Mayor's Declaration of Office and present the Mayor with the Chain of Office.
The Mayor will then present his inaugural address to Council.
