Media Advisory: First Nations Pow Wow honours Fall Solstice and youth
  
The City of Toronto Culture division is pleased to support the First Nations
Pow Wow honouring the Fall Solstice and welcoming the gifts of Mother Earth on
Sunday, September 21.

This Pow Wow is dedicated to honouring youth, and inspiring them to embrace the
rich culture of their native heritage and develop an appreciation for the
environment. Guests will have the opportunity to experience traditional food,
dancing and drumming.

Date: Sunday, September 21

Time: Noon to 4 p.m. (Festivities)
6:30 a.m. (Sunrise Ceremony)
Noon (Grand Entry)

Location: East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club
Galloway Park (Kingston and Galloway Roads)

The First Nations Pow Wow is supported by the City of Toronto Culture division;
East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club; Nishnawbe Homes; Gabriel Dumont
Non-Profit Homes (Metro Toronto) Inc.; National Aboriginal Day; Toronto Metis
Council; Native Child and Family Services; Department of Indian Affairs and
Northern Development; National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation and Baagwating
Community Association.
