Media Advisory: City of Toronto recognizes 61st anniversary of the raid on Dieppe at Dieppe Park
  
Parks and Recreation - On Sunday, July 20, Deputy Mayor Case Ootes will
officially recognize the 61st anniversary of the raid on Dieppe which took
place on August 19, 1942.

The dedication ceremony taking place at Dieppe Park is a tribute to the memory
of the Canadian soldiers who died in the line of duty in the World War II raid
on the French coastal town of Dieppe.

Representatives of The Royal Canadian Legion, The Royal Regiment of Canada and
the East York Historical Society will be in attendance. An unveiling of a
memorial plaque and plans for new landscaping at the park entrance will be
displayed.

Time: 2 p.m.

Location: Dieppe Park
(south side of Cosburn Avenue, between Greenwood Avenue and Linsmore Crescent)
