Photo opportunity Many left behind in Toronto's strong economy 2003 Housing and Homelessness Report Card to be released
Today, Councillor Olivia Chow will release the 2003 Toronto Report Card on
Housing and Homelessness. The report card provides information on the current
state of poverty, affordable housing and homelessness in Toronto. Councillor
Chow will make a call for action from all levels of government.

Joining Councillor Chow will be Eric Gam, Commissioner of Community and
Neighbourhood Services; Tanya Gulliver, Board Member; St. Clare's Multi-faith
Housing Corporation; John Andras, President of the Rotary Club of Toronto; and
Sue Cox, Executive Director, Daily Bread Food Bank. Ms. Cox is one of 190
signatories to the August 29 letter from the Toronto City Summit Alliance to
the Prime Minister and the Premier on the urgent need for increased support for
urban infrastructure, including affordable housing. A tour of one of the St.
Clare's housing units will also be available.
