Media Advisory: 'When Fire Strikes: Get Out! Stay Out!' Toronto Fire Monitors School Fire Safety Drill

This being Fire Prevention Week, Toronto Fire Services want to reinforce the
need for an evacuation plan, and regular practice of that plan, by conducting
an evacuation drill at Birch Cliff School.

Date: Friday, October 10

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Place: 1650 Kingston Rd. (Kingston Rd. and Birchcliff)

Schools conduct six of these fire drills yearly, three in the fall and three in
the spring. They also create and file a Fire Safety Plan.

This will be an excellent opportunity to help us get some life-saving public
education messages out.

Education Office via Access Toronto at 416-338-9390 or
