Media Advisory: Cavalcade of Lights sets the night alight with the First Lighting Celebration
  
What: Cavalcade of Lights presented by Scotiabank returns as one of the city's
most stunning collections of free holiday events with the family favourite
Cavalcade of Lights First Lighting Celebration. Catch these highlights:

7:00 p.m. Toronto Children's Chorus

7:20 p.m. Mayor Elect David Miller's remarks
Main festival stage

7:25 p.m. Members of the Ontario Guild of Handbell Ringers
Main festival stage

7:26 p.m. Procession of light works its way through the audience as the Ontario
Guild of Handbell Ringers continue on the Main festival stage
Through the audience ending at the Main festival stage

7:36 p.m. Cavalcade of Lights Display first lighting
Nathan Phillips Square

7:36 p.m. Toronto debut of The Spheres by Australia's Strange Fruit
Main festival stage

8:06 p.m. Pyrotechnic show

8:13 p.m. Downstroke provide live music for an evening skating party

Why: The Cavalcade of Lights First Lighting Celebration presented by Scotiabank
marks the premiere lighting of the Cavalcade of Lights Display including the
City's official Christmas tree sponsored by MerryCruises.com. Taking place on
Saturday, November 29 from 7 - 10 p.m. at Nathan Phillips Square, the
celebration is an evening of entertainment.

Please note:
There is limited vehicle space available for media. Parking is first come,
first served.
