Are you going to the Scarborough Fair?

Mayor Mel Lastman's "Toronto: You Belong Here" Recovery Task Force wants to
alert Torontonians of yet another great reason to come out and play this
weekend. Proving that there is no shortage of fun things to see and do around
town, the Scarborough Fair is a family event not to be missed.

For a complete listing of events, visit http://www.toronto.ca.

Scarborough Fair, July 13, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Scarborough York Region Chinese Business Association invites you to come
out and enjoy the Scarborough Fair this Sunday at Terry Fox Park (Bamburgh
Circle and Warden Ave.). A full day of fun and festivities, the fair will kick
off with an opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. featuring traditional Chinese Dragon
and Lion Dances as well as a special Chinese Folk Dance.

Other fair highlights include kung fu demonstrations, a magic show, a Toronto
Police Service's Dog Show and the Toronto Police Service Mounted Unit Drill
Ride. The event will also feature a variety of carnival and vendor booths where
you can shop your way to cash prizes. Pick up a "Toronto: You Belong Here" Game
Card at participating stores and Scarborough Fair vendors and collect stickers
for a chance to win one of five $100 cash prizes or a $1,000 grand prize. For
more information, call 416-321-0011.

Corporate partners in the "Toronto: You Belong Here" campaign include AirMiles,
McDonalds, Sears Travel, Bell Canada, VISA, Avis Rent A Car, TABIA (Toronto
Association of Business Improvement Areas), Eaton Centre, Telus Mobility, Tommy
Hilfiger, Partners Film Inc. and Toronto attractions.
