Media Advisory: Former Imperial Room house band performs at Mel Lastman Square
Sunday Serenades, presented by Scotiabank, is a weekly summer concert series at
Mel Lastman Square. The series brings the smooth sounds of top-notch swing, big
band and jazz acts to a hot summer evening. Swing dance enthusiasts will have a
chance to dance under the stars at these free concerts. Sunday Serenades runs
every Sunday between July 6 and August 24 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The August line-up of Sunday Serenades kicks off with The Bobby Herriot Band.
The Bobby Herriot Band was the house band for many years at the Imperial Room
of the Royal York Hotel and the Old Mill restaurant. The group performs a
selection of music from the big band era and the current hit parade. The
musicians from the Bobby Herriot Band have performed with such artists as Tony
Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Jack Jones, Robert Goulet and Sarah Vaughan.
