Media Advisory: Preparations for the First Lighting Celebration have begun
  
What: Cavalcade of Lights presented by Scotiabank returns as one of the city's
most stunning collections of free holiday events with the family favourite
Cavalcade of Lights First Lighting Celebration. Rehearsals for the show will
take place, creating a perfect media opportunity for an advance glance at the
event.

When: Friday, November 28
5:30 - 6:15 p.m.

Here's what you'll see:

5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Strobe light testing
Toronto's official Christmas tree sponsored by MerryCruises.com will be having
final testing of its strobe light effect. Stage and other event lighting will
also wash Nathan Phillips Square. This is perfect for overhead coverage.

5:30 p.m.
Toronto Children's Chorus
111 members of the Toronto Children's Chorus will practice their seasonal
repertoire.

5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
The Spheres by Australia's Strange Fruit
The troupe will do a full run through of their 30-minute show The Spheres. This
is perfect for live hits.


Where: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St. W.

Why: The Cavalcade of Lights First Lighting Celebration presented by Scotiabank
marks the premiere lighting of the Cavalcade of Lights Display including the
city's official Christmas tree sponsored by MerryCruises.com. Taking place on
Saturday, November 29 from 7 - 10 p.m. at Nathan Phillips Square, the
celebration is an evening of entertainment.
