Toronto - November 28, 2003 - Air Canada Vacations is sponsoring the donation
of over
$140, 000 (CAD) worth of fire-fighting gear by Toronto Fire Services to the
Dominican Republic Fire Department. This equipment, which includes 50 sets of
structural fire fighting protective clothing, boots and masks, will be
delivered by Toronto Fire Services to the Toronto Pearson International Airport
on Monday December 1, 2003 at which time the media is invited to attend a press
conference hosted by Air Canada Vacations Vice-President Sales Phil Sproul and

The press conference will take place at 14:00 (2pm) in Bay 8 located at 6420
Silverdart Drive at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Additional
information as well as interview and photo opportunities will be available at
the press conference.

"Given the lack of equipment that many countries face, Toronto Fire Services
has tried to identify those in need and partner with various corporations to
assist with the distribution of equipment," said William Stewart, Fire Chief,
Toronto Fire Services. "Our goal is to extend our service through the support
of great corporations like Air Canada Vacations. Whether helping other nations
or developing education centres to deliver public safety messages here in
Toronto, Toronto Fire Services is dedicated to the service of others."

"The Dominican Republic is a very important part of what we do, we congratulate
Toronto Fire Services on their extreme generosity to help a community that is
very important to us," said Allister Paterson, Air Canada Vacations President
and COO.

Air Canada Vacations will provide shipping of the fire fighting equipment
aboard a special charter flight to the Dominican Republic at no charge. The
