Media Advisory: Toronto remembers D-Day
  
On behalf of Toronto City Council, Councillor Chris Korwin- Kuczynski will mark
the anniversary of D-Day with a special ceremony, Toronto Remembers.

Date: Friday, June 6

Time: 12:30 p.m.

Location: Toronto City Hall, Nathan Phillips Square, main flagpole

The Canadian flag will be lowered to half-mast during the ceremony while the
Last Post is played to honour the courage and determination of allied forces
involved in the Normandy invasion.

Joining in the ceremony are the: Toronto Civic Honour Guard, Toronto Emergency
Medical Services, TTC Supervisory Honour Guard, Toronto District School Board,
Toronto Firefighters Colour Party, Royal Canadian Legion, Women's Royal
Canadian Naval Service and Toronto Naval Club.
