Media Advisory: City to acknowledge the work of messengers with day-long celebration
  
The City of Toronto, the Toronto Cycling Committee and the Toronto Hoof and
Cycle Courier Coalition will host "10-9" Day, also known as Messenger
Appreciation Day ("10-9" is radio code for "say again" or "what?"). City
Councillors Kyle Rae and Jane Pitfield will present a Mayor's Proclamation to
the association on behalf of the City.

Date: Thursday, October 9

Time: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Noon - 1 p.m., Mayor's Proclamation
presentation by councillors

Location: Yonge-Dundas Square

The day-long event will also include music, refreshments, contests and
information displays.
