City of Toronto officially opens L'Amoreaux Tennis Bubble at L'Amoreaux Tennis Centre

Toronto City Council, representatives from Toronto Parks and Recreation, the
Scarborough Tennis Federation and the Scarborough Winter Tennis Club officially
opened the new L'Amoreaux Tennis Bubble at L'Amoreaux Tennis Centre today.

"L'Amoreaux Tennis Centre is a unique partnership in that revenues from the
Scarborough Winter Tennis Club membership fees help support and promote racquet
sports in the community," said Claire Tucker-Reid, General Manager of Toronto's
Parks and Recreation.

The ceremony featured a tennis demonstration by Munchkins children ages four to
six years versus Seniors (ages 55 years and older), greetings, a ribbon-cutting
and light refreshments.

The L'Amoreaux Tennis Centre originally opened in 1978, featuring ten outdoor
courts, four indoor courts and a lounge. This addition of five new, covered,
tennis courts doubles the membership capacity to 800. The courts will be
available for both members and public use beginning in October, 7 a.m. to 10
p.m., seven days a week.

The L'Amoreaux Tennis Centre is located at 300 Silver Springs Blvd. (south of
McNicoll Avenue, east of Birchmount Road). To book court time call 416-396-4041
