Ontario's second largest winter festival with 23 years of
history
  • 2 days of free fun, 12 months in the planning
  • 18 stages, 11,100 square feet of tented fun, 30,000 square feet of ice
  • More than 500 performers and 100 skates on the ice
  • 60 paws and 15 wagging tails
  • Average time for adults to make a Garden Lantern: 20 minutes. 2000 lanterns will be made
  • 25 live bands
  • 1 bathing beauty
  • 2 sleeping beauties
  • 2 men in canoes
  • 2 men in dryers
  • 10 animated films from the National Film Board
  • Average time need to create 1 minute of animation: 1 hour
  • 3 drag queens in stilettos and skates
  • 500 cans of hairspray will be used mostly on the audience
  • 12 acrobats flying through the air
  • 5 trampolines, 1 catapult, 40 foot flips
  • More than 200,000 pancake flips
  • More than 800 volunteers
  • 1 giant plush dinosaur
  • More than 30 local restaurants are involved in Winterlicious, Toronto's first ever Restaurant Week
