Skate, sip, shop and enjoy WinterCity at Nathan Phillips Square
  
Toronto Special Events - Torontonians can hit the ice at Nathan Phillips Square
and groove to live music on Toronto's famous outdoor rink in the heart of the
city for WinterCity Skating Parties. Running from Friday, January 30 to Sunday,
February 8, skaters can take a break from the Skating Parties to browse the
WinterCity Marketplace for tempting treats that will warm them from head to
toe.

The WinterCity excitement blows into Nathan Phillips Square for the WinterCity
Skating Parties. Families can hit the ice for a little rink-side fun to the
sounds of local bands. From Disco and Funk to Classic Rock and top 40
favourites, every night is musically themed to keep skaters tearing up the rink
and singing along. Running nightly from Friday, January 30 to Saturday,
February 7 from 6 to 10 p.m. and on Sunday, February 8 from 12 - 6 p.m. The
band line-up for the WinterCity Skating Parties is:

¨ Friday, January 30 & Saturday, January 31
Downstroke
Audiences can relive the soulful sounds of the 70s with Motown and Funk
classics.
¨ Sunday, February 1 & Monday, February 2
Naked Brunch
Revellers can skate and sing along with all the Top 40 favourites.
¨ Tuesday, February 3
Who's Your Daddy
Torontonians will get down for the ultimate disco and funk experience.
¨ Wednesday, February 4 & Saturday, February 7
Dave Murphy Band
Groovin' and bopping is guaranteed to these timeless Classic Rock and Top 40
hits.
¨ Thursday, February 5 & Friday, February 6
McKenna
A little east-coast jig on blades is perfect for this cool blend of Celtic rock
and Top 40 tunes.

The WinterCity Marketplace offers tempting hot beverages, food and craft items
that will animate Nathan Phillips Square from Friday, January 30 to Sunday,
February 8.

Dare to forget the weather at the party hosted by the world's coolest winter
city. Toronto's newest winter festival, WinterCity, built on the foundation of
the long-running WinterFest, creates a new tradition of winter revellry.
Running from January 30 - February 12, 2004, this 14-day celebration gives
center stage to the city's renowned culture, creativity and cuisine. With
stellar free indoor and outdoor programming, the hugely popular prix fixe
restaurant promotion Winterlicious presented by American Express plus tons of
winter programming and discounts at Toronto's attractions, WinterCity provides
