Walking Tours of Toronto Parks Continues in June

The City of Toronto will show off two of the city's most beautiful parks in
June as part of its Regional Parks Walking Tours.

Carleton Grant from the Parks and Recreation Division will conduct a tour of
the East Don Parkland on Sunday, June 14. The tour will illustrate the
department's efforts to foster naturalized landscapes with native wildflowers,
trees and shrubs.

The tour begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Associated Hebrew School parking lot,
located on the west side of Leslie Street, south of Steeles Avenue East. TTC
service includes the Steeles 53 bus from the Finch subway station.

Frank Kershaw from the Parks and Recreation Division will host a tour of
Guildwood Park on Saturday, June 20, exploring the cultural and natural
heritage of the Guild Inn grounds and surrounding parklands. Located above the
Scarborough Bluffs, this park provides stunning views of Lake Ontario and the
bluffs.

The tour begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Guildwood Park entrance located at the
corner of Guildwood Parkway and Galloway Road, just east of the Guild Inn. The
TTC reaches Guildwood Park via the Morningside 116 bus from Kennedy subway
station.

Throughout the year, the Parks and Recreation Division will conduct tours of a
number of Toronto area parks as part of the Regional Walking Tours program.
