Bargain Buys at Public Vehicle Auction October 24
It's "Sold to the highest bidder!" at the City of Toronto's Public Vehicle and Equipment Auction on Saturday, October 24 at 14 Canso Road, Rexdale. off Martin Grove Road (Enterprise Road) between Belfield Road and Dixon Road. Bidding starts at 9:45 a.m. but interested buyers can have a sneak preview of the vehicles and equipment beginning at 8:00 a.m. Vehicles go on sale at 10:30 am. Big ticket items and motorized equipment can be held with a deposit of $300, payable by cash, certified cheque, Visa or Mastercard, with the balance payable by cash or certified cheque prior to pick-up. Visa, Mastercard, cash or certified cheque will be accepted as payment for all other auctioned items. The giant semi-annual auction offers the public a great opportunity to pick up some real bargains. Items to go on the block include cars, trucks, vans, lawn mowers and line trimmers. No office or related equipment will be available at this auction. Organized by the City's Finance Department, Purchasing and Materials Management Division, the auction earns money for municipal government by finding new homes for goods no longer needed by the City of Toronto. For more information, the public should either call John B. McKenzie of Associated Auctioneers Inc. at 1-800-265-1906, or the City's Finance Department, Purchasing and Materials Management Division, at (416) 392-7315.
