1998 Final Property Tax Bill Delayed Until August

The preparation of the City of Toronto's 1998 final property tax bill is being
delayed due to changes in provincial legislation.

The final property tax bill will be mailed to property owners in the first half
of August, 1998.

The first instalment due date will be in late August or early September.
The second instalment due date will be in late September or early October.
The third instalment due date will be in late October or early November.

Property owners who are registered for the City's Pre-authorized Tax Payment
Program (where taxes are deducted electronically from their bank account
monthly), will receive their statement, indicating the exact amounts to be
withdrawn, in the first half of August, 1998.

The first instalment will be deducted in early September.
The remainder of the deductions will be made on the first business day of each
month until December, 1998.
