Two-Day Celebration for Opening of Neilson House

A two-day celebration to mark the opening of Neilson House, an 1860s house
which has been restored for the public's use, will take place on Friday,
October 23 and Saturday, October 24. The house is located in the city's
northeast area at 1575 Neilson Road, south of Finch Avenue.

The official opening will take place on Friday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. A
community open house featuring entertainment, heritage games, displays,
refreshments and tours of Neilson House will be held the next day from 1:00
p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend both events.

Originally built in the 1860s, this stone house suffered two major fires in the
1970s before it was restored and it is now ready for use by the public.

For more information about the two-day celebration, call (416) 396-7411.
