Task Force on Community Access and Equity releases interim report
  
The Task Force on Community Access and Equity has released its interim report
A Work in Progress for discussion at its phase two consultation meetings.

This report summarizes the feedback received from extensive consultations and
research in June and July. It proposes guiding principles, structures and
recommendations on how the City of Toronto can support its communities on
access and equity issues.

Members of the public can participate in the consultative process and comment
on the report. Meetings have been arranged at the following locations:

October 15 * 9:30 a.m. Rexdale Women's Centre, 8 Taber Road, 2nd floor

October 19 10 - noon Native Canadian Centre, 16 Spadina Road

October 19 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Regent Park Community Centre, 203 Sackville Green

October 20 7 - 9 p.m. Metro Hall, 55 John Street, 27th floor

October 20 7 - 8:30 p.m. West Scarborough Community Centre, 313 Pharmacy Road

October 22 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Masaryk-Cowan Community Centre, 220 Cowan Avenue

October 26 * 10 a.m. & 1 p.m. Rexdale Community Microskills Development Centre,
(two meetings) 1 Vulcan Street

October 26 3 - 5 p.m. Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Drive

October 26 7 - 9 p.m. Thistletown Service Centre, 925 Albion Road

October 26 7 - 9 p.m. East York Civic Centre, 850 Coxwell Avenue

October 26 7 - 9 p.m. York Community Services, 1651 Keele Street

October 27 * 6:30 - 9 p.m. York Community Services, 1651 Keele Street

October 27 * 7 p.m. Masaryk-Cowan Community Centre, 220 Cowan Avenue

October 27 7 - 9 p.m. North York Community House, 1200 Lawrence Ave. W.

* These sessions will focus on low income issues.


Sign language interpretation and attendant care will be available at all of the
meetings. All venues are wheelchair accessible.
