Banting Avenue Park opens
  
Councillor Mike Feldman (Ward 10 York Centre) and City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry and Recreation representatives will join community members to officially open Banting Avenue Park with the unveiling of a park sign.

Date: Sunday, June 24
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: Banting Avenue Park, 40 Banting Ave. (west of Wilson Heights, one block south of Sheppard Ave., near William Allen Expressway)

The community opening of the 11-acre park will be celebrated with children’s face painting, family games and activities, music by The Madison Group and light refreshments.

The park features a natural pond, children’s gazebo and playground, swings, a sodded play area and a nut grove where native species of trees have been planted.
