Media Advisory: Scotiabank Nuit Blanche ‘Pre-Nuit’ party and 2007 Lecture Series
  
Scotiabank Nuit Blanche officially kicks off with a reception hosted by Scotiabank to celebrate and thank the 500 artists and 125 independent projects participating in this year’s event. A special announcement regarding the Scotiabank People’s Choice Awards - a new addition to this year’s event - will be made.

Date: Wednesday, September 26
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (speeches at 7 p.m.)
Location: Scotia Plaza, The Old Bank Hall, 40 King St. W.

Available for interviews: Mayor David Miller; Rick Waugh, President and CEO, Scotiabank; Rhonda Corvese, Michelle Jacques, Camilla Singh - 2007 Scotiabank Nuit Blanche Curators; and various artists and independent project partners.

New this year, the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche 2007 Lecture Series, “Art Aloud,” encourages discussions, dialogue and discourse leading up to the night of event. In partnership with the Ontario College of Art and Design, and with participation from local and international artists from various mediums involved in Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, these are sure to be lively and thought-provoking conversations.

Dates: Thursday, September 27 and Friday, September 28
Times: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Ontario College of Art & Design, 100 McCaul St. Auditorium, Level 1

Sara Graham, Millie Chen, Adad Hannah and Dyan Marie will be available for interviews on Thursday and Laura Belém will be available on Friday.
