Media Advisory: Ring in 2008 at family New Year’s Eve celebration in Scarborough
  
Representatives of the City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry and Recreation Division, and members of the public will celebrate 2008 in the Scarborough district with a family New Year’s Eve.

Date: Monday, December 31
Time: 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Location: Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Dr.

Ring in the new year with live music featuring Allan MacKay’s Two for the Show; Island Accents Pan Duo (Steel Band); and the Ink Spots (Rhythm and Blues). Juggler Craig Douglas will be on hand, as well as costumed cartoon characters. Enjoy an indoor viewing of ‘Shrek the Third’ in the Scarborough Civic Centre Council Chamber.

Rounding out the festivities will be outdoor skating (weather permitting), clowns, face painting, arts and crafts, noisemakers and balloons - all free.
