Media Advisory - Don Montgomery Community Recreation Centre dedicated in honour of Scarborough Hockey Association president
Mayor David Miller, Councillor Adrian Heaps (Ward 35 Scarborough Southwest) and Brenda Librecz, General Manager, Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation will join community members to honour the late Don Montgomery by renaming the Mid-Scarborough Community Recreation Centre in his name. Special guest is Mrs. Mary Montgomery, widow of Don Montgomery.

Date: Thursday, November 29
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Former Mid-Scarborough Community Centre, 2467 Eglinton Ave. E

Mr. Montgomery was a past president of the Scarborough Hockey Association for 40 years; founder of the Albert Campbell and JJ Keay hockey tournaments; initiator of a scholarship program for secondary students; and a strong community volunteer who spent countless hours to ensure that children could participate in various sports activities in Scarborough.
