East York Skatepark grand opening
  
Councillor Janet Davis (Ward 31, Beaches-East York) and representatives of City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation will join members of the East York skateboarding community to officially open the East York Skatepark.

Date: Saturday, June 23
Time: 12:30 p.m.
Location: East York Skatepark, Stan Wadlow Park, 373 Cedarvale Ave. (north-east of Woodbine and Cosburn Aves.)

The East York Skatepark was designed with the input of local skateboarders and construction was completed in spring of 2007.

Team East York skateboarders and X-village skate shop will co-sponsor a skateboard competition to celebrate the Skatepark Grand Opening. There will be skateboard demonstrations, music and a barbecue following the ceremony.
