Mayor David Miller comments on passing of First World War veteran Dwight Wilson

Toronto Mayor David Miller today expressed on behalf of all Torontonians sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of First World War veteran Dwight Wilson.

“Today the city Mr. Wilson called home joins the entire nation in mourning the passing of one of Canada’s true heroes,” Mayor Miller said. “His contributions and dedication to his country should never be forgotten and should serve as a model for others; I can think of no greater legacy.”

As a sign of respect to Mr. Wilson, flags at Toronto City Hall and the five Civic Centres will be flown at half mast on Thursday, May 10.
