Exhibit illustrates the experience of walking through art

Walking Life, a month-long exhibit showcasing the work of both artists and community members celebrating the experience of walking, will be on display at the Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St. W. from September 9 to October 4.

The exhibit illustrates the pedestrian experience through art, encouraging people to think about the environments in which they walk.

Walking Life is one of several community events associated with the Walk 21 Conference which is being held in Toronto from October 1 to 4. The conference brings together delegates from around the world to address issues related to walking, pedestrian environments and liveable communities.

The exhibit is located on the third floor of the hotel and is open daily from noon to 5 p.m. The opening reception for the event will take place on Sunday, September 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the third floor.
