Toronto Winterfest, February 9, 10 and 11, 2001: Rain, Sleet or Snow ... the Show Will go on!
Toronto Winterfest presented by Shoppers Drug Mart blasts into this weekend
with free indoor-outdoor fun for the whole family.

Tonight at 6:30 & 8 p.m., Mel Lastman Square, the Ice Show Spectacular kicks
off Winterfest 2001 with a magical night of dazzling ice-skating, head-lined by
two of the world's finest: Canada's skating sweetheart, Olympic medallist
Elizabeth Manley and rock & roll skating legend Jumpin' Joe Sabovcik!

Winterfest has over 400 things to see and do, with 20 tonnes of ice carved into
amazing sculptures, 300 tonnes of sculpted snow, 7 stages of non-stop music,
theatre and dance performances, 2 big top circus tents featuring the world's
leading circus companies, plus more than 850 performers and thousands of
pancakes ready to be served at the pancake breakfast Saturday and Sunday
morning at 10 a.m.! ALL THIS AND SO MUCH MORE... AND IT'S ALL FOR FREE!!
