Hundreds of bargain buys at City of Toronto Public Auction

It's "Sold to the highest bidder!" at the City of Toronto Public Auction on
Saturday, October 27, at the Queen Elizabeth Building, Exhibition Place.

Bidding starts at 9:30 a.m., but interested buyers can have a sneak preview of
the articles up for grabs beginning at 8 a.m. Vehicles go on sale at
10:30 a.m.

Big-ticket items and motorized equipment can be held with a deposit of $200,
payable by cash or certified cheque, with the balance payable by cash or
certified cheque prior to pick-up. Other items require a 25 per cent deposit.
Visa, Mastercard (2 per cent premium), cash or certified cheque will be
accepted as payment for all other auction items

This giant, semi-annual auction offers the public a great opportunity to pick
up some real bargains. Items to go on the block include office equipment, cars,
trucks and motorcycles.

Organized by the City of Toronto's Finance Department, Purchasing and Materials
Management Division, the auction earns money for the municipal government and
finds new homes for hundreds of goods no longer needed by the City of Toronto.

For more information, call Maynards Industries Ltd. at 416-242-3560, check the
auction Web site at www.maynards.com,
or call the City of Toronto's Finance Department, Purchasing and Materials
