Residents Pitch in to Help Clean up City

It's time for everyone to pitch in to help clean up Toronto.

Saturday, May 12, is Community Clean-up Day. On this day, residents of the
city are encouraged to help clean up a small part of their neighbourhood.

Community groups, homeowners, tenants, schools and businesses are asked to take
the initiative and help make a difference. Take the time to clean up a
neglected laneway, a cluttered underpass, or a park.

Toronto's Works and Emergency Services Department will schedule special garbage
pick-ups to haul the trash away.

Beginning last year, the City of Toronto initiated the "Clean Toronto" program
aimed at keeping our streets and parks free of litter. It's up to all
residents of Toronto to do their part to keep Toronto clean.

Take pride in the city. Call 416-392-9808 before May 4 to register for the
Community Clean-up Day.
