Media Advisory: City kicks off United Way campaign with event on Nathan Phillips Square
The City of Toronto's 2001 Employee United Way campaign will be launched at an
event at Toronto City Hall on September 10.

Special guests will include Councillor Jane Pitfield representing City Council;
Frances Lankin, President of the United Way of Greater Toronto; John Tory,
Chair of the 2001 United Way campaign (Greater Toronto Area); Paula M. Dill,
City Commissioner and Patron for the City's 2001 campaign; and Paul Godfrey,
President of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Date: Monday, September 10

Time: Noon to 2 p.m.

Place: Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall

Highlights will include the announcement of the City's fundraising goal for
2001, cheque presentations, entertainment, a team sports challenge, a barbecue
and displays by United Way agencies.
