Media Advisory: Toronto home for the aged host to unique student theatre project

Drama students from Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology will be
presenting a special theatre event that highlights the lives and experiences of
residents at Lakeshore Lodge, a Toronto Home for the Aged.

The students did extensive research and interviews with residents, collected
stories and then created vignettes to tell these stories. The result is a
collective creation that has been a great educational tool for the students and
the seniors they were working with.

The kick-off performance on Monday will be attended by special guests and by
the seniors who worked as partners with the students.

Following the one-hour performance, the seniors will present each student with
a copy of "Then and Now: A Century of Memories," a book that chronicles the
life experiences of residents from each of Toronto's 10 homes for the aged.

Date: Monday, December 10

Times: Performance: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Book Presentations: 11 a.m. - 11:10 a.m.

Location: Lakeshore Lodge
3197 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (at Kipling Ave.)
