Media Advisory: thINKFOOD program launched to help the hungry

Date: Tuesday, October 9

Time: 2:30 p.m.

Place: City Hall, Meeting Room E.

In conjunction with the Thanksgiving Food Drive, Councillor Jack Layton, Sue
Cox, Executive Director, Daily Bread Food Bank, Paul Denton, Project Director
of thINKFOOD, and Donna Hildebrant, Vice-President, Petro-Canada, will launch
an exciting, year-round recycling project called thINKFOOD.

thINKFOOD encourages people to throw their used ink jet cartridges into a
drop-box at one of Toronto's designated community centres rather than in the
garbage. The cartridges will be reconditioned and recycled. The Daily Food Bank
will be remunerated for every cartridge that hits the drop-box so there will be
more food for hungry people.
