Media Advisory: The gift that grows: Toronto honours tree planters
Parks and Recreation Division -- Members of the media are invited to attend an
official presentation that honours sponsors of the City's Tree Advocacy
Program. Mayor Mel Lastman and Councillor/Tree Advocate Joe Pantalone will lead
the presentation during Council by presenting to each sponsor a symbol of
Toronto's urban forest -- a white pine sapling. Sponsors will also be presented
with a keepsake scroll and bronze leaf for mounting afterwards on the Tree Hall
of Fame.
