Toronto Parks and Recreation hosts 7th Annual Toronto Street Buds Youth Ball Hockey Championship
  
Parks & Recreation --- Skates are off ... shoes are on ... at the 7th
annual Toronto Street Buds Ball Hockey Championships for children and youth at
the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place, on Friday, March 23 (6 p.m. - 9
p.m.) and Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25 (9 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily).

Round-robin competition will involve 77 teams from 40 community centres in
Toronto's south and east districts. Over 900 participants will represent the
more than 5,000 children and youth who are registered in the program at their
local community centres.

The Street Buds program is sponsored by the Toronto Maple Leafs, the National
Hockey League, Esso, Nike, and the City of Toronto's Parks and Recreation
Division.

The 7th Annual Street Buds Youth Ball Hockey Championship event is sponsored by
Councillor Chris Korwin-Kuczynski, Chair, City of Toronto Special Events
Committee and City Councillor, Ward 14, Parkdale-High Park.

Members of the public are invited to attend. Admission is free.
