3rd Annual Scarborough Safety Showcase Sunday, October 28th, 2001 ~ 12 to 6 p.m.
It's just in time for Hallowe'en! The 3rd Annual Scarborough Safety Showcase.
Hosted by Councillor Brad Duguid and the Scarborough Community Safety Council.

"This is a great opportunity to have fun, enjoy live entertainment, check out
all kinds of interactive safety displays, and talk to representatives of the
City's emergency services about everything from community safety to emergency
preparedness," says Councillor Brad Duguid, Scarborough Centre Ward 38 and
Chair of the Task Force on Community Safety.

The event kicks off at noon on the Centre Court Stage (lower level) with
musician/comedian Dick Joiner. There's a fantastic show lined-up, featuring Dan
the Music Man, Johnny Toronto Juggling Unicycle Show, Ventriloquist Kirwan
Massey, Joey the Clown Balloon Sculpting, Rising Sun Martial Arts Demos, and
lots more activities for the whole family.

Drop by and checkout the many safety related displays and vehicles setup
throughout the mall. This popular community safety showcase is made possible
through the direct participation of many individuals and groups, including
representatives from the Toronto Police, Fire, Ambulance and Emergency Medical
Services, service clubs, companies and City staff.

Established in 1996, the Scarborough Community Safety Council provides a forum
to address community concerns related to all aspects of community safety and to
promote and support local initiatives designed to respond to these issues.
Membership is open to all individuals and groups committed to promoting a safe
Scarborough Community.

Don't miss the 3rd Annual Scarborough Safety Showcase! Sunday, October 28th
from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. This year's event is once again being held at the
Scarborough Town Centre, located just south of Highway 401 between Brimley and
McCowan Roads. Accessible by TTC on the Scarborough RT. For more information,
