Media Advisory: Drummers, dancers join Mayor to celebrate new affordable housing project
  
Mayor Mel Lastman will join representatives from the federal government and the
Frontiers Foundation at a ceremonial sod-turning to celebrate the start of
construction of Project Amik, the first affordable housing project to proceed
under the City of Toronto's Let's Build program.

The ceremony will include a drum performance by Jimmy Dick and the Eagle Heart
Singers, and will also feature a healing dance by Marie Gaudet. As well, Mayor
Lastman will be presented with a ceremonial head-dress to celebrate the
partnership between the Frontiers Foundation, an Aboriginal-focused housing
provider, and the City of Toronto.
